Free Computer Classes: Central Library

Four of Aurora's seven public libraries will close at the year's end because the city's 2010 budget only includes funding for three libraries. A ballot question defeated in the November election would have created a separate funding mechanism for the libraries via a Library General Improvement District.

By Dec. 31, Mission Viejo, Hoffman Heights, Iliff Square and Chambers Plaza libraries will shut down permanently. Despite the reductions in staff and operations, the Aurora Public Library will continue to provide the best possible service to customers at the remaining three libraries.

However, as a result of these cutbacks, all computer classes have been cancelled indefinitely.
