The Power of One Book 2009: The Changing Face of Medicine

Medicine is a rapidly changing industry, and The Power of One Book for 2009 features four books for every interest and age that focus on the changing face of medicine.

Pick up a postcard at any Aurora Public Library, read any three books and earn a prize. Read at least one Power of One Book title and enter your name into a drawing for a bigger prize.

This year's Power of One programs coincide with the arrival of the national traveling exhibit, "Changing the Face of Medicine: Celebrating America's Women Physicians," which the library at the University of Colorado at Denver and Health Sciences Center will host from April 9 to May 22.

The exhibit was developed by the Exhibition Program of the History of Medicine Division of the National Library of Medicine in collaboration with the American Library Association Public Programs Office, and has been made possible by the National Library of Medicine and the National Institutes of Health Office of Research on Women's Health. The American Medical Women's Association provided additional support. Call 303-724-2129 or visit the UCHSC Library Web site for information on the exhibit.
